BAM Membership
The Ballroom Association of Madison (BAM) is focused on providing social dance activities for UW-Madison students and membership is Free for all University of Wisconsin students and students of other colleges/trade schools. To become a BAM member, simply sign up at one of our social dances or weekly series lessons.

If you are not a student, membership is open to anyone and is currently $40 for one academic year. A membership may be purchased at any of our social dances or lessons. However, we occasionally may have to suspend new non-student memberships for a period of time to ensure that our UW student membership remains above 75%. We are currently accepting non-student memberships.

What does Membership Get You?
We host fun social dances and helpful lessons all year long, and membership provides a significant discount. After our Free Fall Kickoff Dance, students and other BAM members may attend social dances for an admission price of $2 (lesson included). Some dance venues may require $3 admission. If you are not a member of BAM, dance admission is $8. We accept cash, check, or Venmo for admission and membership dues.

BAM sells different kinds of memberships that cover various portions of the academic year. Please refer to the following table for prices. The student price applies to anyone with a valid student ID, and is not limited to UW students.
